Eating disorders can be a big problem in teenagers, teenagers become obsessed with their weight and how they look and sometimes this can cause medical problems such as bulimia and anorexia. Bulimia is defined as an eating disorder in which the teenager will severely restrict what they eat and when they eat they immediately purge what they have eaten by making themselves vomit.

People suffering from bulimia will very often turn to binge eating also, this is defined by eating large amounts of food in a short space of time. This again will be followed by purging of the food. Bulimia as most eating disorders more commonly affect teenage girls but men can also suffer from the illness too and there can be many causes for the illness.
